Dream House: Jenni Kaynes Beverly Hills Home

When I saw photographs of fashion designer, Jenni Kaynes Beverly Hills home circulating on pinterest I immediately repined these pictures, I even shared some of them with you on my Facebook page.  Every time I see them I am taken back by how much I Love, Love, Love this beautiful family home, so I am sharing it again!
The home is so pleasing architecturally with its crisp white walls, clean lines  and extensive use of natural materials such as recycled wood and stone, but it also has a lived in feeling with interior elements that create comfort and warmth.
I adore the way the house is drenched in natural light from the large windows,  every room has a view of the stunning garden.
The children's nursery is also truly amazing, a fantasy play space for little ones.
Do you love it as much as I do? It's a dream house right?!

Lets talk Television...

As much as I enjoy our Television for entertainments sake, it is not so pleasing aesthetically.  I want to make our TV look less like the main event in our TV room...... Even though (lets be honest) it is the main event, the damn room is named after it and we spend just a wee bit of time staring at it!

This looks cool...
or this...
But instead we have this...
Can you say BORING! The TV looks a little too high on the wall to me, but I am assured by my husband, that it cant go any lower because that is where the plug is.  A TV hung lower will mean the plug and switch will show.  I also need to disguise the black aerial cord which is running down my wall..... They don't come in white, I have checked.  I will get this hidden away inside the wall one day, when we get an electrician in to change lights etc. but for now, I have to get creative.

Here is what I am thinking...
Clockwise from left 1)2)3)4) Buddha) Blue Jars)
Selection of art that I love! (not to scale).  Although lets face it, I wont be buying this specific art.  The day I can afford a Dale Frank, I would have died and gone to heaven!...

Which do you prefer, a gallery wall? Or tall lamps either side? Do you have any genius ideas for me?

A blue phase

I can't get enough of blue, My love grows deeper everyday, but particularly in furniture form.  Here are some images that I found which contain blue sofas (that I want to make love to).

I adore a Togo sofa, especially in  formally looking spaces. The Togo adds the right amount of comfort to this space.
This sectional tufted number is so yummy, especially with that hypnotizing hexagonal art and the pops of gold. Blue and gold are such a magnificent color combo, Check out how I painted my kitchen.
This is another really cool space also with a deep blue sofa, this time in velvet. The red painted window frames make a bold statement.
Hello there brass elephant!

Athena Calderone Brooklyn penthouse

Every time I see pictures from this apartment, I literally stop in my tracks, because in my opinion it is so perfect!
This is the Brooklyn Home of Interior designer and blogger Athena Calderone.  Athena lives here with her Husband and nine year old son.
I love the mix of furniture pieces,  Some vintage some new.  Many of the pieces were eBay finds.
The apartment itself has a very minimalist feel, but Athena balances that out with personal touches, texture and amazing statement lighting.
I have art collection envy! The piece above the sofa is insane, I love the scale.
Read the article and view more pictures of this stunning apartment at Harpers Bazaar.

White Rooms

When doing my daily pinning session today, beautiful white rooms kept jumping out of the screen and grabbing my attention.  I am usually a gal that is all about color, but I have to say I could jump straight into some of these rooms and live happily ever after.

Round Mirrors

I cannot get enough of round mirrors! In a home full of squares and rectangles these curvy beauties are just the thing to balance out and soften all the angles.
This beautiful work by David Derksen (Image of Transcience Mirror) is the piece I am currently lusting after. A row of perfectly overlapping circles treated with sulfur to create varying tones of gold. Transcience shows the beauty of the natural oxidizing process of mirrors.
Do you love circles as much as I do?  How do you use them in your home?
